ROCHESTER — There had to be an uneasy feeling beginning to build in the stomachs of the Kenyon-Wanamingo wrestling team’s coaches midway through their Section 1A Team Tournament Final against Zumbrota

The No. 2 Kenyon-Wanamingo wrestling team cruised through No. 7 St. Charles in the quarterfinals of the Section 1A Team Tournament on Thursday in Kenyon.

The Kenyon-Wanamingo girls basketball team has run into some tough teams lately, but according to Knights coach Brent Lurken that’s not necessarily a bad thing this late in the season.

In the grand lineage of Minnesota wrestling families, the Lexvold family is now the grandest.

The Kenyon-Wanamingo boys basketball team will be looking to bounce back this week after losing three straight games (prior to Tuesday night’s game, which results of were not available at press time).

The Kenyon-Wanamingo wrestling team looked to its youth to win the Cannon Falls Invitational on Saturday.

They came through.

Shelby Auseth finished a three-game stretch with 60 total points to lead the Kenyon-Wanamingo girls basketball team to three key late-season wins.
