Many of you may recall a time when the Kenyon Leader arrived in your mail on a different day of the week. In the 1920’s, 30’s, ‘40’s and 50’s the newspaper was delivered on Fridays.

Valentine’s Day has come and gone. Flowers, cards, candy and all the gifts that are commonly given to express one’s love for another have been exchanged.

There are times when I think I’m losing my mind. I mean, really losing it. Even my husband believes it.

Here we are. Past the hustle and bustle of the holidays, we have ushered in the New Year and put our party hats away.

Greetings, readers. Happy New Year to you! 2012 has arrived and I have returned to my role here at the Kenyon Leader following my maternity leave.

Fall is in the air. The crisp, cool breeze certainly makes its imprint on us this time of year. The daylight hours are slipping into darkness.

If you look very closely, you can see them. The very first signs of fall are here. The State Fair is over and the school year is in session.

Congratulations to the Kenyon American Legion Post 78 team for receiving the honorable distinction of the Rocky Wedin Sportsmanship Award.
